I think we’re going to have to call our 8 week trip to Ireland an initial recce. We’ve seen a lot, but there’s so much more that we’d like to see next time round.
We can’t quite believe how fast the last eight weeks have flown by. In this final installment of our 2018 Ireland trip, we spent a week at the Ulster GP then had three busy days of tourism before our ferry home.
It’s been a few days since our last post, but we haven’t been resting on our laurels. We’ve visited three National Trust properties, Titanic Belfast and the Ulster Museum, as well as exploring Belfast itself.
The Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge are among the attractions not to be missed by any self-respecting visitor to Northern Ireland. For Mark, though, both were eclipsed by his visit to the hallowed ground of Joey’s Bar in Ballymoney……
The last few days have taken us through the Fermanagh lakelands and back into the Republic of Ireland and Donegal.
Far from wasting valuable time heading back South to the Ford garage at Ennis, we’ve actually been very busy tourists over the last few days. If only things had gone according to plan with the fuel injector…
