A busy few days in South Wales; our destinations have included Cardiff, Castell Coch, Caerphilly Castle, Caerleon and Chepstow.
After a couple of months at home (very unusual for us!), we set off on a short trip to a few of the many parts of the UK that we’ve never previously visited. This time, we decided to head down the Welsh – English border to South Wales.
… I’ll get round to updating you yet! At long last (but hey, I can always backdate the post!), here’s the report on the last few days of our 2019 Scandinavia trip.
We’ve had a busy few days as we’ve slowly wended our way west across Germany, visiting the Goseck circle, Arche Nebra, the Museum of Prehistory in Halle, the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp memorial, the Eichsfeld Borderland Museum, and the Wuppertal Schwebebahn.
After a quick turnaround (seven days at home for me, six for Mark) we were packed up and on our way again… Scandinavia here we come! Thus far, we’ve made it to Bremen in Germany….
The last three days of my solo trip to Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, and this time it was the first and last places I visited that I found most impressive. It turns out that Edward I didn’t just build socking great castles and that the direct ancestor of the modern skyscraper is in, of all places, Shrewsbury….
