South for Christmas

We’ve been taking it easy over the last few days, slowly working our way South for Christmas. We spent two nights at a barragem (dam) near Alcacer do Sal.


Then we headed West to the coast for a night before working our way South down the coast.


Mark is continuing with his culinary exploits.This week he made a quiche that did bear a passing resemblance to Mount Vesuvius… My quiche looked boringly normal, so I guess this must’ve been a cheese-related occurrence.


We arrived at the fortress at Sagres on the 23rd. Here’s Mark on his Christmas morning wander around the cliff-tops.


Not much else to report other than that the turkey has successfully defrosted…
