Llyn Peninsula

A quick weekend (Thursday-Sunday)trip down to the Llyn Peninsula….

We spent Thursday night at our usual spot by the beach at Dinas Dinlle, then had two nights on a CL at Uwchmynydd that was “sort of” closed for the winter – they’d stopped cutting the grass but hadn’t yet let the sheep in. Brilliant….

After some National Trust “savings” on Friday (visiting Plas yn Rhiw) we did an easy 7 mile wander on Saturday round the end of the Peninsula. For the first time ever we seem to have acquired a book of walks in which the descriptions do bear some resemblance to reality 🙂    Great scenery, including views of Bardsey Island, and lots of choughs & sheep.

Sunday’s highlight was Mark’s long-awaited trip to ZipWorld (a birthday present from my dad). We met up with my Dad there (who was also Zipping, in his case a sponsored Zip for Parkinsons UK) and Mark’s parents who had come to watch. Here they are returning from their adventures:

Only 3 weeks now until we pack up and start heading South 🙂
